Yoga for Seniors

Q: I love your DVD's. Please suggest ways that I can share my Kundailni Yoga practice with my 80 year old mom.

A: Thanks for writing. We are happy to hear you are benefiting from our DVD's. We suggest that your Mom sit on the edge of a firm sofa or chair to start. Our Yoga for Beginners & Beyond: Stretch, Strengthen, Be Stress Free, has a segment featuring Chair Exercises, as well as many other exercises which would be good for Seniors. The first set of Kundalini Yoga for Beginners & Beyond can be done in this way. She should, of course, go at her own pace, and not feel compelled, at first, to do the exercises for the length of times given. We also recommend the second half of Yoga Cleanse. In addition, many of the segments on our Yoga Quick Fixes, and Yoga House call DVD's can be done sitting in a chair. Other segments on those DVD's may be gentle enough for her to start with.
