Spirulina is one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world and we highly recommend it. Its extremely high energy and is considered by some to be the perfect food. Of course we only recommend completely organic brands.

Ana takes a daily whole food supplement for women (Mega Food), digestive enzymes (also from Megafood), an EFA suplemment and/or evening primrose and silica. She also likes Pure Radiance C from The Synergy Company.

If you take a non-vegetarian Omega supplement be sure it is tested for heavy metals. We think Nordic Naturals has a reputation for pureness.

There are many non-vegetarian sources as well. I switch brands a lot when it comes to EFAS so don't have a particualr one to recommend.

For vegans, we recommend 1 mg per day of sub-lingual B-12
