Recovery from Surgery/Illness

We are sure that from this point on your health and spirits will be on the rise!

While recovering, please listen to your body and work around any areas of your body which need to rest. The beauty of Kundalini Yoga is that there are techniques to meet any contingency. You might try some gentle upper body yoga exercises sitting on the edge of a bed. This would be a great opportunity to work on your meditation practice and also the deep internal muscles, which when toned, rejuvenate the whole body. The mediation we recommend is after the Sat Kriya exercise on A Journey Through the Chakras. It would also be great to start practicing Sitali Pranayam: Inhale through a curled tongue and exhale through your nose. Keep the tongue extended the entire time. Think Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung on the inhale and the exhale. Try to do this 26 times in the morning and 26 times later in the day. This technique is very good for self healing and will help your digestive system as well.

We wish you a very speedy recovery, joy, health, and blessings!
