Negativity Experienced During Yoga Meditation Practice

Congratulations on starting your Kundalini Yoga practice! Becoming observant to the fluctuations of mind is an important part of the yoga process. Yoga and meditation help us to understand our patterns and put us in a position to make conscious choices in our lives. What you are experiencing means that you are in the process of transforming yourself. Our advice is to continue acknowledging these thoughts but then, of course, make the decision to Keep Up!

Our minds are dual, for every thought there is a mirror image somewhere in the background. One important aspect of yoga training is to be able to see both sides of a thought and learn to be the witness. Then we can consciously decide which thought is in our best interest and choose not to identify with the one that is not.
