Camel Pose Troubleshooting
Question: whenever I am doing camel pose, I get absolutely, irrationally terrified to put my head back. I am a long time yogi and KY student: what could be up?
Answer: It may be that your lower body is not supporting your upper so you don't feel supported in the pose. The other possibility is that it is an emotional issue relating to the Throat or Heart Chakras. Try grounding down through your shins. Line up your hip bones over your knees, lift your navel strongly and continue the lift through your sternum, relax your diaphragm, and when you feel safe, let the letter L become the letter C (which stands for courageous!)
