Weight Loss and Kundalini Yoga


Kundalini Yoga with its work on the glands and emotions is a perfect modality for successful weight loss. All of our DVD\'s you mentioned will work on the many levels you need to meet your goals. Kundalini Yoga Cardio Stretch & Strengthen, Warrior Workout, Fat Free Yoga, and the active part of Dance the Chakras can give you just about all the cardio you need. If you would like to speed up the process we recommend a 15-20 minute brisk walk (or treadmill, or stationary bicycle) before your yoga session.

We recommend cutting down on carbs and keeping blood sugar levels stable. Be careful of foods/drinks with a high glycemic index (you can find information about the glycemic index on the Internet). Portion control is key here also.

It may seem simplistic, but it is true that many people use excess weight as a buffer against feelings they\'d rather not deal with. We suggest a daily meditation practice, especially the technique called So Darshan Chakra Kriya, which is on our Yoga Bliss Hips, Yoga House Call, and Yoga Quick Fixes DVD\'s. The Sa-Ta-Na-Ma Meditation on Yoga House Call and Yoga Quick Fixes can also be very helpful for emotional clearing.

One of the best ways to see quick results in terms of weight loss is to vary your workout (alternating our DVD\'s is the perfect way to do this) and vary your diet.
